Some of the most important work happening in our neighborhoods rarely makes the news.
It’s the neighbor who organizes a food drive, the resident who speaks up for better housing, the mentor who shows up week after week, or the volunteer who never looks for recognition. Their work often happens quietly, but its impact is impossible to miss.
The Community Spirit Awards exists to celebrate those people.
Every year, LINC UP brings together residents, businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders to recognize the individuals and organizations helping Grand Rapids become a stronger, more connected place to live.

Our online silent auction features a collection of experiences, local favorites, and special items donated by community partners. Every bid helps support LINC UP’s work to advance racial equity and economic and political power by removing barriers, expanding opportunities, and increasing affordable housing.
Winners announced at CSA, October 1 at 12:30 PM.
