Home Heating Credit Community Tax Days

LINC UP will be the site for the Home Heating Credit Community Tax Days July 12 & August 2, 6-9PM, at our Gallery 341 Hall St SE.

Kent County Tax Credit Coalition is encouraging low income Michigan residents to apply for the Home Heating Credit before the Sept. 30 deadline. In 2021, the average household who qualified for the credit received $216, and this year, those who receive food assistance benefits and received the credit may be eligible for an increase in benefits.

The best way to qualify for the Home Heating Credit, among other tax credits, is to call 211 for more information. Kent County residents can visit hwmuw.org/211 to learn more. Residents outside Kent County can visit the state’s website for information on local resources. Applicants must be a homeowner or a renter with a contracted lease and meet the income requirements listed on: https://www.michigan.gov/taxes/questions/iit/accordion/heating/home-heating-credit-information-1
